Super Eagles Watch: Super Moses inspires Chelsea

Victor Moses is the name on everyone's lips as he returned to the starting lineup of Chelsea to inspire them to victory against Tottenham hotspurs in the big London derby game on Sunday.

Iheanacho missed the match day through injury and Odion Ighalo's goal run ended over the weekend.

England

Wilfred Ndidi continued from were he stopped last season as he put up yet another solid display resulting to a two nil victory for Leicester City over Brighton and Hove Albion. Meanwhile his Nigerian teammates, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho were both entirely missing from the match day squad.

Victor Moses was back in the Chelsea line up as the Blues shook off their opening day lethargic performance defeating North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.

At the Bet365 Stadium, Alex Iwobi came on for the last ten minutes of Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Stoke City. It was his second appearance this season in the EPL.

Sone Aluko played the full game for Fulham against Leeds as they held their own away from home to gain one point. It ended Leeds United 0 - 0 Fulham.

Spain

Olarenwaju Kayode came on in the 84th minute as his team Girona threw away the chance to get a historic victory over Atletico Madrid losing a 2 goal lead to end it 2-2.

Olarenwaju came on and almost got the winner against the 10 man Madrid side.

Italy
Joel Chukwuma Obi started for Torino but was pulled off in the 76th minute as they drew away from home to Bologna.

Umar Sadiq was on the bench but was not given the nod to play. It ended 1-1.

Germany
Leon Balogun was an unused substitute for FSV Mainz who lost 1-0 to Hannover 96 on Saturday.

At the Volkswagen Arena, Victor Osimhen watched from the sidelines as Wolfsburg lost 3-0 to Borussia Dortmund. Osimhen is yet to make an appearance for Wolfsburg this new season.

Finland
Gbolahan Salami scored for KuPS in their 2-1 home win against IFK Mariehamn in their Finnish top flight fixture.
Also in action for KuPS was Reuben Gabriel who played for 90 minutes.
Salami scored in the 68th minute to draw KuPS level

Netherlands
Belgian-born Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers was on target for Utrecht who beat visiting Willem II 2-0.

Turkey
Ogenyi Onazi made his first appearance of the season for Trabzonspor as they held Fenerbahce to a 2-2 away draw.

At the Yeni 4 Eylul Stadium, Elderson Echiejile and Azubuike Okechukwu were both yellow carded in Sivasspor’s 2-0 win over Yeni Malatyaspor.

Belgian
Winger Moses Simon made his second appearance for Gent who lost 3-2 away to Mouscron.

Henry Onyekuru played 90 minutes for Anderlecht but fired blanks as they lost 3-2 at home to St.Truiden in the Belgian top flight on Sunday.

Joseph Akpala replaced Kevin Vandendriessche with ten minutes left to play in Oostende’s 2-1 defeat to Eupen.

China
Striker Odion Ighalo was in action for Changchun Yatai who were held by visiting 10-man Tianjin Quanjian 1-1 in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

It was Ighalo’s 21st league appearance for Changchun Yatai, with 11 goals to his name.
