Felix Obuah
If Rivers United FC beat Club Africain on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup they will get one million naira (about $2, 500) and an additional hundred thousand naira (about $250) to the scorer of each goal.

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state, Felix Obuah made this known to the team via a statement released by his media team on Friday evening.

According to Obuah, the players should go all out for victory to make the government and people of Rivers State as well as people of Nigeria proud, adding that the monetary incentives promised the players were made to boost their confidence against their
opponents.

You are the only Nigerian club left in the African club competitions, Rivers people and Nigerians at large deserves nothing but outright win to progress and increase their
chances of winning the trophy,” Obuah said.

Bro. Obuah, who is also the President of Go-Round FC, a Nigerian National League Club, charged football fans to turn out in their thousands and cheer Rivers United to victory, adding that the presence of supporters at the stadium would bring out the best in
the players.

He urged the players to ensure a resounding victory against their opponents as a way to reciprocate the efforts of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, who is doing his best to encourage the youths and boosting sports development in the State.
