Olympiacos top scorer, Brown Ideye may remain at the Greek champions for now as reports saying he has agreed terms to Chinese side, Tianjin Teja are not true.
A report stated that Ideye is close to completing a move to the Chinese League after agreeing personal terms with the player but reports from Greece say he has not.
A source who should know told Naijafootball247.com that Brown Ideye is yet to agree terms with any club regarding a move to China.
“The stories in the media sound like Brown is pushing to Leave Olympiacos and the deal is already signed but this is not entirely true,” the source said.
“Brown is not even aware of a move to China except what he has read on the internet so it is also very surprising to him. He has not spoken to any club and most of all he has not agreed terms with any club.”
“It is funny because he does not even know the source of the news that is trending at this time.”
Ideye joined Olympiakos from West Bromwich Albion in 2015 and after scoring 13 goals in his first season, he now had 15 goals in all competitions this season.
Tianjin Teda only recently signed Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi from Chelsea and they open their Chinese Super League season with an away game against Shandong Luneng on March 4, 2017.
