Coach Gift Worgu of Egwi FC says he had to pull a magic stunt to ensure his side won 3-1 over Ulakwu 2 FC in the Etche Sports Festival.
After going 1-0 down early in the game, Egwi FC eventually won 3-1 and Worgu said even at 1-0 down he was hopeful.
“When I found out the problem of my side I had to work some magic.
“The problem was that my midfield was not cooperating with the attack so I made some vital changes and the goals came,” Worgu said.
Darlington Chinemerem of Ulakwo 2 FC was visibly angry after the loss and blamed his players completely.
“My players refused to take advise from me.
“At some point in the game they felt they knew what to do without me and that was why we lost the game, but I know how to correct it and will make amends for the next game,” Chinemerem said.
