The Victor Ezeji Testimonial, VET will now hold on Saturday, January 7, 2017, the chairman of the Main Organising Committee, China Acheru says.
The testimonial was previously scheduled for December, 17, 2016 but had to be moved after that date clashed with the Annual General Assembly, AGA of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“It was unfortunate we had to move it then, but it is better to delay it and hold a befitting testimonial for Victor Ezeji than have one that has most stakeholders in Nigerian football absent because they are occupied somewhere else,” Acheru said.
“We still expect the governor of Rivers State, Barrister, Nyesom Wike as Special guest of honour on the day as well has the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick as well as LMC chairman, Shehu Dikko, who will incidentally play for one of the teams.
“the chairman of the Club Owners Association, Barrister Danladi Isaac is also expected to lead a delegation of all 20 club chairmen in the top division for the big event, so the planning did not stop even though we moved the date,” the MOC chairman said.
Already, the likes of Etim Esin, Kelechi Osunwa, Ahmed Abdulrahman, Kennedy Boboye, Dominic Oruma, Imama Amapakabo, Oneykachi Okonkwo, David Tyevkase and many other stars of the Nigerian league are expected to take part in the testimonial.
