Confluence Queens In Port Harcourt For Business

Technical Adviser to Lokoja based Nigeria Women Premier League side, Confluence Queens, Musa Baba-Anini Amorley is confident his side will return to winning ways following their winless run in the last three matches.

Confluence Queens who were held to a goalless draw on Monday by Delta Queens will be looking forward to settle for their first win in four matches against League champions Rivers Angels in Port-Harcourt

According to Amorley, Saturday's encounter with Rivers Angels is going to be a ‘bumper to bumper’ affair.

"Our purpose of coming to Port-Harcourt is for business. We want to win, and we are aware of what is at stake because Rivers Angels are a very good side," the coach told

"Rivers Angels are the defending champions. To be a champion you must beat the best. They are the best Women League side for now, but we want to win them right on their home ground."

The last time both team met was 2015 in the Federation Cup Quarter Final, when Confluence Queens edged the Port Harcourt based outfit 2-1.
