As Nigeria National League clubs continue to prepare for the start of the new football season on May 7, Go Round FC have unveiled their jerseys for the 2016 football season as well as their official Team Photograph.
The photo shoot session held at the Lobby of the Kris Dera Hotel Stadium in Omoku, their home ground on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
The players showed off two sets of home kit (long and short sleeved, white with orange and green stipe), their away kit (Green with an orange stripe), track suits as well as Blue jerseys for team officials.
The jerseys, produced by Owu Sports were purchased for the club by a fan of the team, Nath Uwaji who is also a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
They also have enough replicas for sale to fans of the club.
First team coach of the club, Ngozi Elechi said he was delighted over the jersey unveiling.
“We are indeed glad today but first of all we must thank the man who procured these jerseys and we are indeed glad for what he has done,” Elechi said.
Captain of the side, Nyime Nwangua described it as seriousness on the part of the club and the benefits of victory.
“When you win it attracts so many things and what they have shown today is that they are ready to push this season so we can gain promotion,” Nwangwa said.
General Manager of the side, Soni Uboh described the jersey unveiling session as a show of the status of the club.
“We just want to show that we have moved away from what most Nigerian clubs do.
“Yes we remain in the second tier of football, but we have demonstrated that things can be done the right way. The season starts on May 7 and after this ceremony today, the next step is to gun for promotion,” Uboh said.
Go Round FC narrowly missed promotion to the NPFL last season by two points and will kick start the new season with a home game against Akwa Starlet at the Kris Dera Hotel Stadium.
