Joetex Frimpong salutes Victor Ezeji

Enyimba’s legendary goal scorer, Joetex Frimpong, has applauded his former teammate, Victor Ezeji, who recently announced his retirement from football.

Back in 2002, Frimpong and Ezeji scored 16 goals at El-Kanemi Warriors and Sharks, respectively, to emerge joint top scorers.

“Ezeji is a thoroughbred professional who gave his time to football. I’m not surprised he achieved a record 20 seasons in the Nigerian League.

“We spent one season together (2003), and it was a fantastic time in the colours of Enyimba. I can’t forget his predatory instincts in front of goal.

“Ezeji deserves to be an Ambassador of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL),” the former Ghanaian International said.

The duo joined Enyimba in 2003 and won the domestic league and Caf Champions League.

Interestingly, both players share same management outfit, MATCHROM Sports & Media.

Ezeji will address the media at the National Stadium, Surulere, on Wednesday to formally announce his retirement from the game
