Super Eagles and Lazio SS midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi says he looks forward to a time when attacks on innocent people by terrorists will be things of the past.

He says he was really sad after hearing and seeing pictures of terror strikes in France last Friday.

Onazi who is currently in Port Harcourt, Nigeria preparing for a crucial World Cup Qualifying game against Swaziland told he still does not understand what terrorists do what they do.

“These terrorists’ attacks have been on right from my days in Jos. I even escaped one once when I returned on holidays.

“It is so bad that I keep praying to God to put an end to these.

On Friday night in France, terrorists attacked the city of Paris, killing more than one hundred and twenty people, with the target being the Stadium where France were engaged in a football match against Germany.

“When I heard about the one in France… it was so sad. Not just France, but Nigeria, Syria and the rest it makes me sad and I only pray to God.

“It always breaks my heart because I do not understand how people will do things like that with lots of lives lost.

“I cannot even injure an animal not to talk of a fellow human being. We are all human beings. It is so sad. Any time I hear things like this I am so sad. We can only pray to God to have mercy on us and put an end to this,” Onazi said.

In May 2014, Ogenyi Onazi, only just avoided being bombed to death in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.

The bombing left 118 people dead.
