Ideye has respect for Keshi

Dropped Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye says he has respect for Stephen Keshi despite what people say.

Ideye, speaking live on a radio station in Port Harcourt, Nigeria said Keshi has always been full of surprises and may just shock the world again.

“I still remember the Africa Cup of Nations when most people thought we were not good enough and we came out winners.

“Despite what people say against him that he did not go to the World Cup with the best, I believe he has an ace up his sleeves.

“As for me, I have big respect for Keshi, I have always had respect for him and I’m okay with the performance of the team as I believe they will get better with games.”

Nigeria’s Super Eagles managed a draw that was 0-0 against Iran in their World Cup opener on Monday and beat Bosnia 1-0 on Saturday.

Stephen Keshi’s tactical acumen has been questioned by fans and critics alike but Ideye insists that the people must be patient with the team.

“The team is playing well and the sooner people begin to support the team without inhibitions the better for us all.

“It’s our national team and we do not have any other one to support,” Ideye said.
