Nigeria V Ethiopia: KEBEDE WARNING FOR NIGERIA

Ethiopia striker Getaneh Kebede says he is eager to make up for the time he spent out on the sidelines by helping his side overcome Nigeria in their final 2014 World Cup qualifier.

The Walia Antelopes travel to Calabar to face the Super Eagles on November 16, trailing to a 2-1 first-leg deficit, meaning they need to win by two or more goals in order to earn their ticket to Brazil.

A result by the same scoreline as the first leg would force extra-time and potentially a penalty shoot-out.

Ethiopia, though, have been boosted by the availability of Kebede, who returned from a lengthy ankle injury in South African side Bidvest Wits' 1-0 win over University of Pretoria in the Premier Soccer League on Wednesday evening.

"I am very happy I am finally back playing competitive football after my nagging ankle injury," the forward told SuperSport.

"It's not been easy for me missing crucial matches for my beloved country but I want to make up for my absence when we play against Nigeria next week.

"I am back in top form and just waiting for my club's Saturday game against Kaizer Chiefs before I travel to Addis Ababa on Sunday to join my team-mates.

"We might have lost 1-2 in the first leg match but we want to assure Nigeria that it will not be a walk in the park when we meet again next Saturday as we will take the game to them.

"My prayer is that I continue with my goal scoring form to help my team in this very important game as we are all dreaming of qualifying for the World Cup."
