Keshi’s Eagles will get it right- Sinclair

Former Super Eagles head coach, Monday Sinclair believes Stephen Keshi will get it right as coach of the Nigerian national team.

Sinclair told that Nigerians are a very impatient people and that is why there were complaints about the team after the Confederation Cup.

“Building a team is not an overnight thing and we shouldn’t have expected the team to win the Confederations Cup so soon.

“I agree Nigerians felt we could have done better against Spain and Uruguay or even scored more against Tahiti but it really doesn’t matter,” Sinclair said.

“These players are still developing. They have not reached the peak where you can expect them to stand against any team. They will only try but just give them another two or three years and you will be surprised at what they will do.

“Let us say, after the 2014 World Cup Nigerians will be watching a different kind of Super Eagles by the 2018 World Cup.

Stephen Keshi was criticized after the Confederations Cup loss to Spain for his decision to continue using players from the Nigerian League.

At the AFCON, two outstanding players were Sunday Mba who played for Warri Wolves and Godfrey Oboabona who still features for Sunshine Stars all in the Nigerian League.
