Stadium inspection goes wrong in Nigerian League

There have now been complaints over the methods used by the Nigeria National League Stadium inspection committee to go about their duties.

Before the commencement of the 2012/2013 Nigeria National League(NNL) season, the board sent stadium inspectors to various match centers across the country to certify and ensure that the stadium are of Nigeria Premier League(NPL) standard.

A lot of clubs in that division were heavily dealt with because their stadia were below Nigeria Premier League standards and were forced to move their games to alternative venues.

Clubs like Bolowotan, Remo Stars and Prime were amongst those who had to move from their original home ground and adopt new grounds for the league.

However, three games into the new NNL season, there have been complaints surrounding the home ground of Nnewi based Gabros FC.

Gabros have played two home games on what has been described by away teams as poor and below standard pitch.

The Nigeria National League inspection team inspected the Gabros Stadium before the season began and it is all too surprising that they came out with that stadium for the league.
