Nnaji wants half a billion naira

Barrister Ray Nnaji has told naijafootball247.com that he wants the Nigeria Football Federation to pay him a massive compensation for withdrawing a case in court against them.

Nnaji says they agreed that he will be paid a reasonable compensation but the NFF have so far refused to do anything.

“They were asking me to quantify what is reasonable but I told them if I tell them my terms they will not be able to do it but that they should decide what is reasonable.

“As far as I am concerned, if they want to know what the term reasonable compensation means they should start from the fact that I sued them for one billion naira (about $6.2m) then a reasonable package should be five hundred million naira (about $3.1m),” Nnaji said.

Both Nnaji and Sam Sam Jaja had cases in court against the Nigeria Football Federation but while Jaja has moved on and is now the National Deputy Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling political party, PDP, Nnaji is about to return to court against the NFF.

“At least I can use the money to offset debts I incurred during the process and also take care of my friends,” he said.
