Enyimba’s Uche not under pressure

Hard grafting Enyimba’s central midfielder, Henry Uche says he was not under any pressure whatsoever playing for the Super Eagles for the first time in a competitive game.

Uche told naijafootball247.com that he had felt pressure before playing for the Eagles so against Namibia he was as calm as a sleeping baby.

“I travelled with the team for the game against Egypt and I felt all the pressure in that game.

“I also travelled with the team to Peru and played and I can tell you I felt all the pressure in Lima against the Peruvians,” Uche said.

“By the time we were ready for the game against Namibia I knew I had to calm myself down, especially it being my first competitive game for Nigeria.

“I can’t judge for myself how well or how badly I played but I expect people who watched the game to judge and tell me how well I did.”

Henry Uche came on in the 2nd half of the game for injured Obiora Nwankwo and acquitted himself well in the time he spent on the pitch.

He now says he is looking ahead in anticipation of other game he will play for the national team in the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nation’s qualifiers.
