Explaining the reason for the shift of date from the original Sunday that Warri Wolves FC usually play their games, the secretary of the Delta State Football Association, Onothoja Friday said the shift in date became necessary due to flight concerns as flights to Free Town from Nigeria are normally on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Due to this if the game is played on Sunday it will be difficult for the visitors to depart Nigeria on that day, he said the alternative of Saturday was considered but it also failed as the flight from Lagos is very early on Sunday so the only option left for Warri Wolves is Friday which also falls within the time frame approved by CAF for continental games.

Kick –off time for the game has been fixed for 4pm.
