Dedevbo wants focus from Flamingoes

Head coach of the U-17 girls team, Peter Dedevbo has urged his girls to stay focused ahead of the 2nd leg clash against Zambia’s She-polopolo in the FIFA U17 World Cup qualifiers.

Dedevbo made this statement before the team went out for their first training session after returning from Zambia.

The team had a light training on Tuesday at the goal project site this afternoon and will continue to train there because the M.K.O stadium Abeokuta, venue of the return also has an artificial turf.

"Do not think the Zambians will not give us a good fight when they come for the return leg? That is why we need maximum concentration as we prepare for this crucial last leg. We will play this return leg as though we never won the first leg."

Speaking further, Dedevbo told his girls to make humility their watchword and not allow complacency to set in.

"Any player who is humble will be rewarded that is why I urge you all to please remain humble, stay focused so that we can achieve the task we have at hand."
