Nigeria’s Udoh calls for calm

Stand-in captain of Nigeria’s U-23 side, Kingsley Udoh has appealed to Nigerians to put the defeat to host Morocco behind them, assuring that they will bounce back in their next game against Senegal.

Udoh who is the heart of the Olympic Eagles defense line lasted only three minutes on the pitch after landing awkwardly on his right foot from an aerial contest.

“The match was very painful and heartbreaking because we let Nigerians down. But we believe that since it’s the first game we lost, we can prepare for the second game against Senegal and cross the hurdles ahead,” Udoh stated.

While assuring that the Olympic Eagles will come out with a positive result against Senegal, the former Heartland defender called on Nigerians to pray for his speedy recovery.

“What I would be saying to Nigerians, is to keep praying for the team and my quick recovery and am very sure we will not let them down against Senegal,”
