Eguavoen: “We must stay focused”

Nigeria’s U23 coach, Austin Eguavoen has told his players they must stay focused on the task ahead.

Eguavoen told the players that it is now time to reap the fruits of their hardwork after coming this far in the qualifying race.

“We started this journey way back in the early part of this year. Now is the time to reap the fruits of our hard work and to do that we must stay focused on the task ahead.

“You must write your names in history books because our country is depending on us,” he charged.

Meanwhile, Parma of Italy Midfielder, Obiora Nwankwo on Saturday night joined Nigeria’s U23 team in Morocco.

Nwankwo, who will lead the team in the absence of Captain Lukman Haruna, was part of the team’s general meeting where Austin Eguavoen reminded the boys of the task ahead.

“I want to welcome you all to Casablanca. As you already know; we are in early to acclimatize to the weather, perfect our tactics and do our country proud,” he stated.
