Eguavoen confident of victory

Nigeria’s U-23 coach Austin Eguavoen has expressed confidence that his team would bounce back from its one nil defeat in the hands of host Morocco to make the semifinals of the ongoing CAF U-23 championship holding in Morocco.

Nigeria lost one nil to a 27th minute penalty by Barrada Abdelaziz after Emmanuel Anyanwu was judged to have rough tackled Morocco’s Bidaoui Soufiane in the Olympic Eagles Vital area.

“We knew from the onset that it was going to be a difficult game against the host nation. We were unlucky but that’s football for you. All we have to do now is put this game behind us and begin to prepare for the games ahead,” stated Austin Eguavoen.
He added “I have to start working on the psychology of my players; to put them in the right frame of mind for the game against Senegal. But one thing am confident about is that we will pick a ticket for the Olympics.”
