Beach Soccer: NFF calls 18 for Intercontinental Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation has called up 18 players to the camp of the National Beach Soccer Team in preparation for the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup competition taking place in Dubai from 19th – 27th November, 2011.

The players, who are to report at the team’s regular camping site in Badagry, Lagos on Friday, 4th November include veterans Abdul Isah, Isiaka Olawale, Ogbonnaya Okemmiri and Bartholomew Ibenegbu, as well as new stars Victor Tale and Musa Najere.

The National Beach Soccer Team otherwise known as Supersand Eagles, reached the quarter finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup finals staged in Ravenna, Italy in September, coming close to ousting four-time world champions Brazil before bowing out after extra time.
