Yobo, Mikel have been good to me, says Okonkwo

Nigeria international full back, Chibuzor Okonkwo says team captain, Joseph Yobo and Mikel Obi have been good to him as he continues to be a regular with the national team.

Okonkwo plays for Nigerian Cup kings, Heartland and has had four caps with the Super Eagles and told naijafootball247.com that he has been helped a great deal by Yobo and Mikel

“Mikel and Yobo have been carrying me along and since then I have been at the top of my game.

“They have treated me like a brother to them and I have also done my best in the team, playing according to instructions that is why I am thankful for what the two of them have done,” Okonkwo said.

Chibuzor Okonkwo has been named in Nigeria’s team to play Guinea in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday and he is optimistic that the Eagles as well as himself will fly this weekend.

“Come Sunday, each and every one of the players will fly and we will defeat Guinea.

“You all will see a different national team and a different Chibuzor Okonkwo.”
