Shooting Stars are first casualty of Nigerian Cup


The Nigerian Federation Cup got to its Round of 64 stage this week and Premier League side, Shooting Stars were the first big casualty of the competition.

Shooting who just last week lost a League match at home to eternal rivals; Rangers International lost 4-2 to lower League side, Akwa United

After full and extra time ended goaless, Shooting lost 4-2 via penalty shoot out.

Gambo Mohammed scored twice for Kano Pillars as they knocked out Kwara Football Academy 2-0.

Kola Anubi of Sharks also got a brace as his side edged out Flash Flamingos 2-1.

There was still another brace recorded in the Federation Cup as Michael Okoyo hit the net twice as Warri Wolves beat NAF Rockets 3-2.

In Jos, Dolphins beat Black Stars 3-1 with goals from Captain Ejindu who scored twice and Osita Echendu.
