Eguavoen sure of Tanzania’s fall

Nigeria’s Olympic football team coach, Austin Eguavoen (Left)has declared that Tanzania have no chance against his side when both sides clash in two weeks.

Eguavoen made the boast after watching the Nigerian side fall 1-0 on Sunday in an Olympic Games qualifying match.

After the game he boasted that the Tanzanians will fall badly in Nigeria.

“Because it’s a two legged game it gives us the opportunity to get it right in the return leg. We lost a lot of scoring chances and it would have been a different story if we had converted them,”Eguavoen boasted.

While admitting that the Tanzanians are good, Eguavoen says they stand no chance in the return leg.

“The Victory is no doubt a good one for Tanzania, but they have no chance against us in the return leg at home. Don’t forget that most of the players we paraded here just concluded their seasons in Europe playing well over thirty to forty matches and sometimes wear and tear comes in qualifiers like this but that is not an excuse.

“They were lucky on the evening. We had our chances but could not bury them while they had one chance and scored; that is football for you but one thing that I am sure of is that this team will be beaten in Nigeria,” he stated.
