Sixteen Eagles train for Argentina


Sixteen members of Nigeria’s football national team trained at the main bowl of the national stadium in Abuja on Monday for the friendly game against Argentina on Wednesday.

Eight players from the invited lot failed to train with the team.

Nnamdi Oduamadi was excluded from the team while Peter Utaka, Fengor Ogude and Ahmed Musa, though in Abuja failed to train because of their late arrival.

Joel Obi, Taye Taiwo, Yusuf Ayila and Gege Soriola are yet to arrival.
Soriola is a late call up to the team.

In training on Monday evening were Emmanuel Emenike, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Dele Adeleye, Isaac Promise, Efe Ambrose and Ekigho Ehiosun.

Others were Dele Aiyenugba, Nosa Igiebor, Austin Ejide, Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo, Mikel Obi, Ike Uche, Kalu Uche, Victor Anichebe and Obinna Nsofor.
