Udoh: Hard work was key to Malabo win

Olympic team central defender, Kingsley Udoh says hard work and determination were the key factors that led them to victory against Equatorial Guinea.

They beat Equatorial Guinea 4-1 in Malabo after a 5-0 win in Benin two weeks ago with Warri Wolves’ goal poacher, Ekigho Ehiosun getting his first national team hat trick.

After the game, team captain Kingsley Udoh, attributed the team's win to team work and determination.

“It was a good game for us. We played to the coaches’ formation and this helped us a lot. But in all our determination to succeed worked a lot for the team," Udoh declared.

According to him, with the attitude they showed in Malabo the team can go all the way to the Olympic and All Africa Games.

Spain based defender, Ibot Edet said they went into the game with victory in their minds.

“We knew that the task was not going to be an easy one but we went into the game with victory on our mind.

“Playing to the coaches’ instructions coupled with the team spirit in camp we were determined to take the points a stake and that we did,” Edet said.
