Anichebe reveals injury hell

Young Everton forward, Victor Anichebe (Pictured left)has tried to recall the period he spent 12 months out through injury and says it is every footballer’s hell.

Anichebe told that it was very difficult for him to be out for 12 months and relapse the way he did.

“I found it hard to get back because after that injury I actually returned and did well in pre-season only to get injured again.

“I felt very strong then only to get injured again and at that time it easy to lose confidence but I’m happy I’m back to playing for Nigeria and hopefully I will take it back to my club,” Anichebe said.

Anichebe says it has not been difficult with the rest of the team even though there are a lot of new players in the Nigerian national team.

“It has not really been difficult. I’ve been here before and I’ve met a couple of them before. Even now, I just met Victor Moses a few days ago but we have become best of friends already.

“We have a good team here and we have an understanding of one another so it great and we can’t just wait to get on the pitch on Sunday against Ethiopia.

“I hope I get to play and if I do, I hope I can score too. That would be a good return to the team. I am fit now and I know I will get better as I play more games.”

Victor Anichebe has played 5 times for Nigeria but is yet to get a goal.
