NPL SANCTION SUNSHINE, SHOOTING, ENYIMBA


The Nigeria Premier League has ordered Sunshine Stars FC of Akure to play its next two home matches behind closed doors with effect from week 13.

In a statement by the acting Executive Secretary, Tunji Babalola, “Sunshine Stars FC supporters by harassing the away team in their game against Heartland over the weekend violated the rules and regulations of the NPL”.

He further maintained that, “the Supporters of Sunshine Stars FC are hereby warned to desist from such attitude or NPL will be obliged to invoke stiffer sanction on the erring club {s}”.

Also, the supporters of 3SC where equally issued a warning order by the NPL.

In the same development, Ahmed Kadiri of Enyimba Int’l FC has also been handed a one {1} match ban for unsporting behaviour in their match against Warri Wolves FC.

Enyimba Ahmed Kadiri with Jersey No: 4 was also fined the sum of N100, 000 and will be missing in their next away match against Kaduna United this weekend.
