Falcons get full camp

Twenty one players have reported to the camp of the Super Falcons as chief coach, Eucharia Uche kick starts her preparations for FIFA Women World Cup, Germany 2011.

Six foreign based players were in camp with 2 more from Turkey being expected.

Media Officer of the Super Falcons, Gracious Akujiobi in a release made available to the press said it is just a 2 week camping exercise which is turning out to be fruitful because the girls especially the foreign based are responding very well to training.

“The chief coach and her assistants are pleased with the turn out as they say this will give them the opportunity to watch some players who could not make it to the Africa Women Championships last year,” Akujiobi said.

Among those at the teams camp in Abuja are Emueje Oghiablef(Rossiyanka FC,Russia), Funsho Alake(KPV Finland), Obende Biodun(KPV Finland), Oyewusi Olushola(OB Odense,Denmark), Hadijat Aliyu(KPV Finland), Sarah Micheal of Oroedro FC, Sweden Semola Akinlose and Hope Orieka who came in from Turkey.

The team will play two friendly games on Friday 28th and Wednesday 2nd February.
