Heartland FC Condole Ocean Boys Over Player’s Death

The General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Heartland FC of Owerri, Chief Fan Ndubuoke has on behalf of the management and staff of Heartland FC, conveyed a high felt message of sympathy to fellow premier league side, Ocean Boys FC of Brass, Bayelsa State over the death of their player, Emmanuel Ogoli during a league match in Yenegoa, last weekend.

A statement by the Owerri based side says news of Ogoli’s death came as a rude shock to both the players and officials of Heartland FC with some of whom the player had been a friend and colleague in other clubs.

According to the statement, Ndubuoke regretted that death could snatch away such a young and promising talent in a sudden and crude manner which now, has left a gaping hole in the minds of every follower of the Nigeria league where the player had made his mark.

“As fellow human beings and as people engaged in the same business of football, we are touched by this loss and we grieve with you and the bereaved family over the player’s demise,” read the message which was transmitted through the media unit of both clubs.

It said death being an inevitable experience of man, Ocean Boys FC and the family should take solace in the fact that the deceased lived worthy life here on earth.
