The new board of Premier League side, Warri Wolves have been told they must take the club alal the way to represent Nigeria on the continent next football season.

Amaju Pinick, who is the chairman of the state sports commission made this known to the new board led by Godwin Abigor during their swearing in at the board room of the Delta State Sports Commission, Asaba.
Pinnick, who represented the state governor, said, having spent two years in the elite division, the players and technical crew have no excuse other than to do the state proud and pick a CAF Champions League slot for the teeming football fans of the state.
He added that in a bid to curb football hooliganism in the league, the state government has deemed it fit to appoint the chairmen of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club state chapter and the Warri Wolves Football Supporters club to be members of the board, alongside the chairman of the state referees council.
They also intend to make Warri Wolves Football Club a brand not only in Nigeria but the African continent that Deltans where ever they are will be proud to associate with the team, and in that light about 25,000 replica jerseys of the club will soon arrive the country for its supporters to buy.
The new chairman, Godwin Abigor while commending the state government for deeming them fit to serve that state said players welfare will be their number one priority.
“Aside the welfare of players, we will take the club to the highest level by intensifying our marketing drive to raise funds from private sector so as to avoid over dependence on government.
The board has Hon. Alex Amudo as the vice chairman/CEO, Mr. Kenneth Nwaomocha, Neville Bekederemor, Christopher Iyere, Jones Agintuku, Terry Obieh, Dave Egho, Timi Ebikagboro while Mr Lawrence Omohwo will act as the secretary.
