Shooting Stars ready for trophies

Media Officer of Nigerian Premier League side, Shooting Stars Sports Club, Jubril Arowolo says he is confident the team will do well this season and finally win the much needed trophy that has eluded them for more than a decade.

Arowolo is so sure that with the level of preparation going on in Ibadan, there is no way the team will not win laurels next season.

“Everything is working perfectly for us. We sat down and looked at the mistakes we made last season and have taken time to correct them.

“We decided to take stock of what happened last season and we felt that once we get it right from the beginning of the season, all will be well.

“I am so sure that we used last season to learn some hard lessons and since we survived relegation, this is the time to show Nigerians that Shooting Stars is still one of the best teams in the country.

“We have unveiled our new players and by the time the Premier League kicks off this weekend Shooting Stars should be ready to take on any team in the country,” Arowolo boasted.

New players signed on by Shooting Stars include Yusuf Babatunde, Kabiru Alausa and Henry Uche.
